    • Nothing to See Here – PJ Gentry

      During the last several months our county commission meetings have continuously added multiple closed sessions after nearly every commission meeting.  These meetings, by law, are for elected officials, appointees, and employees.  Public not invited.  Yet recently a private sector person was allowed to attend a closed session meeting.  What???  If one public person can attend, then all citizens should be allowed to attend.  [snip]

    We have created a new section of our PC-GOP website, named "Our Library".  So far, it has:

    • Candidate's Corner, which has:
          (a) a listing of all the Republican candidates known to be in the Primary Election in Person County on Tuesday 2024-Mar-5
          (b) a hyperlink which can be used to obtain sample ballots for this Primary Election
    • Contact information for some Person County government officials.
    • Contact information for State and National government officials applicable to Person County.

      I thought it would be good to highlight some of the economic success that our state continues to enjoy.  It was refreshing this week to see that CNBC ranks North Carolina #1 in its 2023 business rankings.[1]  I am pleased to see CNBC recognize the sound fiscal policies that we have enacted in NC over the past 12 years that have resulted in our state’s thriving economy.  [snip]
