Sheriff Sam Page

Sheriff Sam Page – candidate for Lt. Governor

On October 19th the Person County GOP hosted Sheriff Sam Page, candidate for NC Lt. Governor.  Sheriff Page made the trip from Rockingham County to discuss his position on the Constitution and his views for the future of this state to include his candidacy.  Sheriff Page served on U.S. Air Force security forces when young, and upon returning home he went into the police department starting his career as a detective, and later to Sheriff — through 30 years of law enforcement work.  In 2010 he served as the President of the NC Sheriff’s Association.

During discussion with Sheriff Page, he made it clear he has a passion on providing officer safety measures and ensuring a transparent justice system.  He supports community-driven approaches to diverting nonviolent offenders away from the cycle of incarceration, prioritizing their rehabilitation, and working towards a successful reintegration into society.

During the presentation he spoke of his previous support for President Trump.  In 2020 he served as the Chairman of the North Carolina Donald J. Trump for President Committee.  His leadership and effective approach in reaching out to voters resulted in an overwhelming victory for Republicans across the state with a state win for Trump and other Republican candidates.

Sheriff Page ended his presentation indicating he is a vocal advocate of solving the border crisis, fighting drug/human trafficking, ensuring transparency in government, and protecting families across North Carolina.  The PC GOP was very pleased to have him present his views as a candidate.  He demonstrated that he is a strong experienced candidate with a background in law enforcement who is a constitutionalist, and ready to make the needed decisions to move this state forward as a “red” state.
