Why Trump’s New Economy CRUSHES Kamala’s

A recent Gallup poll (Oct 9, 2024) said, “Voters view Donald Trump as better able than Kamala Harris to handle the economy, 54% versus 45%.” Gallup also said, “It is the only issue on which a majority of voters, 52%, say the candidates’ positions on it are an “extremely important” influence on their vote. Another 38% of voters rate the economy as “very important,” which means the issue could be a significant factor to nine in 10 voters.”
This should surprise no one, least of all informed citizens. Given that most voters go shopping for groceries, gasoline, and maybe dozens of household goods every week, these pocketbook issues come front and center – and painfully.
The Biden-Harris administration has been rightly blamed by most Americans for their feckless spending of extraordinary amounts of taxpayer money. This created an explosion of inflation, reaching 9.1% in June, 2022. Nothing done by either Biden or Harris has mitigated these new costs, which damage low- and moderate-income households the most.
Kamala Harris says she will slap greedy big businesses for price gouging, but she offers NO evidence that such practices actually exist. And she plans for an “opportunity economy” (whatever that is), but with NO specifics of how it might soon save families money while shopping. Harris also wants to “tax the rich” (as usual), but for keeping Social Security afloat. This is NOT a mechanism for boosting our economy or reducing costs of groceries, gasoline and household goods.
Moving on…
Donald Trump has often said that he will have a, “Drill, baby, drill” policy. This is, of course, a phrase which envisions getting all aspects of the Biden-Harris “climate crisis” fraud out of our way, and fossil fuels back into a place of prominence. Despite many years of government subsidizing EVs, plus wind and solar energy, our usage of fossil fuels has continued a steady increase, year over year. Trump plans to eliminate the Dems’ bias towards expensive and unreliable wind and solar power for electricity. And he will end the Electric Vehicle (EV) subsidies, tax credits and incentives, and the Dem’s crushing regulatory strictures against fossil fuels for vehicles with internal combustion engines.
Getting the oil and gas industries back in charge of their own affairs and without government-manipulated markets will make a clear difference in the price and availability of gasoline, diesel, and all other fuels derived from crude oil.
Trump has also planned his “Day 1” in office to include:
- Removing any Obama-era roadblocks to energy projects such as the Keystone XL pipeline.
- Lifting restrictions on any mining coal, and drilling for oil and natural gas on federal land.
- Cancel payments to the U.N.’s climate change programs and use the money to fix America’s water and environmental infrastructure.
And of course, Mr. Trump supports fracking for oil and gas wherever possible, and without the flip-flopping done by Kamala Harris on this issue. She desperately needs Pennsylvania to win, yet she’s been flip-flopping on fracking which their Drillers desperately need to use in PA!!
So, why am I bringing up Energy topics when this column began with the Economy? Because the two issued are interconnected to an extent that most folks simply don’t see.
Don’t get me wrong – our oil and NatGas industries are doing well at the moment. You can thank INDUSTRY initiatives for the recent drop in prices at the gas pump… NOT JOE or KAMALA. From "www.texastribune.org" of Aug 15, 2024, Trump“ …wants… for the U.S. to be “the dominant energy producer in the world, by far!” 2023 was a banner year for oil and gas producers in Texas, but there is so much more addressable market space out there waiting for a serious national export effort – something that would never happen in a Harris presidency.
We could be selling Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) all over the world, especially to our friends in the EU who are under the thumb of Vladimir Putin. Expect a Trump presidency to address THAT, and pronto. We could use some pipelines for LNG and some coastal infrastructure for loading LNG on tanker ships.
Getting all the business we can from global leadership in crude oil and natgas will reduce the cost here in the US for all major fuels needed for transportation of goods. Everything we own, whether in our homes or our businesses came to us by trucks burning diesel fuel. Often, that also includes fuels for transport by air, rail, or cargo ships.
Every food we buy has a significant fuel component in its cost. Diesel fuel runs almost every piece of heavy equipment used in agriculture, farming and ranching for production of fruit, vegetables and meats. Lower diesel costs will make that trip to the grocery store cheaper, relatively quickly. And since natural gas is used to make fertilizer, a lower natgas cost also helps our grocery bills.
A lower cost of transportation fuels is a pretty obvious driver of lower inflation. Trump’s “Drill, baby, drill” has a direct impact, there. But there is another major impact on our economy and the prices we pay for millions of goods. It’s the hidden cost of crude oil (and derivatives) when used as raw materials to manufacture products (and components of products) that we buy – often every week. Below, please find a list of products made from crude oil that we all recognize. Each of these products is usually manufactured in various unique forms by multiple companies. Really, what better way is there than using free-market forces to create cost reductions?

The above list was taken form a far more comprehensive list which also includes items normally seen in business, industrial, agricultural, mining, military, or various professional environments. The total number of product categories is now well over 6000 items. Our entire economy will benefit from the efficiency improvements to be found by proper energy and raw materials costs.
In closing, nothing that Kamala Harris has promised can hope to jump start our economy and lower actual market prices for family groceries, gasoline and household goods like Trump’s “drill, baby, drill” initiative. And, is there anything more direct than this for killing the Dem’s “climate crisis” fraud? If the public no longer cares about it, can it even exist?
