Mark Robinson Visits OCGOP
A contingent of four Person County GOP executive committee attended the Orange County GOP monthly meeting in Chapel Hill on Thursday, May13th.
Former OCGOP Chairman, Whatey Davis, introduced the group’s four new Advocacy Action Teams intended to “attack key issues”. Key issues each team will take up include: education, 2nd amendment, voter integrity and immigration. He shared that the teams are defining goals and actions to build awareness for each initiative. They plan to act as an incubator and bring together all NC counties together in order to speak in one conservative voice to lobby elected officials and influence policy changes. The team leaders each spoke to introduce their team and some details of the issues and planning. Step one includes a plan to employ the organizational digital platform of SLACK to consolidate communications. Mr. Davis expressed how they need patriots to get involved and are seeking engagement.
The club meeting highlight was a speech by Lt. Gov., Mark Robinson. As expected, our Lt. Governor presented a motivational message of freedom certainly worthy of going viral. His talk was both inspiring and direct and covered several topics. As always, our Lt. Governor opened with giving thanks to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for everything He does for us and acknowledges He is the reason we have such a wonderful our wonderful country where we are endowed with all our freedoms. He mentioned US Constitution and it serving to protect our God-given freedoms discussed that fact he perceives it to be a privilege to serve as Lt. Go of NC and represent us patriots.

To skim the highlights, the Lt. Governor focused on addressing our freedoms and discussed fighting to protect them. He spent some time to talk about honoring our law enforcement and the sacrifices they have made and make for citizens each day. He also addressed indoctrination in our NC schools and provided an update on the F.A.C.T.S. Task Force effort he launched a couple of months ago as well as condemned the left’s efforts to infiltrate North Carolina classrooms with critical race theory. Lastly, he took planned questions from the OCGOP and a few from the general audience.
In addition, 2022 NC candidates had some time at the podium. Marker Walker (US Senate candidate) and Trey Allen (NC Supreme Court candidate) both were introduced and spoke at the conclusion of meeting as part of his campaign to win support of conservatives state-wide.
