The Oct/16 meeting of the Person County Public Library Board resulted in naming a new Sub-Committee to review "Story Time" books for children.  Ann Gibson and Jonathan Bradsher, both former librarians, were named to be on this Book Review Committee.  The meeting went smoothly — although many progressives believed the issue today was about book-banning; it was not.  The issue was about appropriate books for Story Time for young children — too few people at this meeting understood this.  Most who spoke publicly, sensationalized the issue by claiming book-banning; this included the Democratic County Chair.
