GOP District 13 Chair Statement Regarding NCGOP
The statement reproduced here is from Roger Farina, the Chair for the 13th GOP District of North Carolina. Roger explains here how the recent ruling on censure here in Person County undermines the authority inherent to County organizations.
Statement received from our District 13 Chair, Roger Farina, regarding the NCGOP's Opinion Ruling against PCGOP actions to censure and other district-level issues.
The NCGOP thrives on the deliberate vagueness of its Plan of Organization, inventing 'rules' that don't exist to rig outcomes whenever it suits them. As with the Constitution: if it's not explicitly written, power belongs to the lower level body whether it's at the district or the county level the state should not be able to have jurisdiction.
Yet their one of their latest farces outside Person county did just that. It was a blatantly misogynistic ruling disqualifying a woman for using her professional name (District 1 shenanigans), while prominent female leaders in the state party do the exact same without consequence. Its not written in the organizational documents so it usurps the power of the constituents.
Similarly this is what happened here in Person County. Basically, it undermined the authority of one if its subordinate county leadership teams (the PCGOP ExComm).
The state party demands blind loyalty when it wants control, then abandons the grassroots the moment election seasons arrives. Self-serving hypocrisy, plain and simple in my not so humble opinion of a leader in this party for 22 years.
