2026 July Fourth Parade

Person County Republican Party fields two floats in 2026.

This year is the 250th birthday for the Declaration of Independence!  All patriots are increasing their efforts — learning about the foundations of society in America in the 1700s, learning that in the 1700s the Christian preachers were instrumental in teaching this foundational understanding to their congregations, and coming to the realization we patriots need to be doing similar these days.

For the Roxboro Parade this year, the Person County Republican Party had TWO floats!

The focus the first float was: 250th year for the Declaration of Independence, and promoting the Republican candidates for the election in November.  This float was fielded by the CEC of the Person County GOP.  Laura Pichardo, candidate for NC Senate District #23, was riding in the bed of the pickup and the loudspeaker was used to introduce her to the crowd.  Also, the loudspeaker was used to mention the conservative Republican judge candidates to the crowd.  The crowd cheered upon hearing, "God Bless America"!

The focus of the second float (below) was: the Declaration's 250th, Vote Republican, and We Love America.  The second float was fielded by the Precinct Captains of the Person County GOP, and they were handing out the perennial icey-pops.  So far this year, the Precinct Captains have had at least one meeting per month — and we are looking forward to good results with the get-out-the-vote efforts and promotion of candidates in their precincts.
