    In 2021, "retcon" was added to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. This term, short for “retroactive continuity,” describes altering an established story's form or content. Common in serial media like comics or TV shows, retcons let creators tweak the universe, revive characters, or smooth over plot inconsistencies.  While retcons offer creative flexibility and adaptability to audience feedback, they can also confuse and frustrate readers if not used carefully.  [snip]

    A recent Gallup poll (Oct 9, 2024) said, “Voters view Donald Trump as better able than Kamala Harris to handle the economy, 54% versus 45%.”  Gallup also said, “It is the only issue on which a majority of voters, 52%, say the candidates’ positions on it are an “extremely important” influence on their vote.  Another 38% of voters rate the economy as “very important,” which means the issue could be a significant factor to nine in 10 voters.”  [snip]
